Bawa means 'Sea' in Arawak, what some might say is the original language spoken in Barbados.

The intention of Bawa is to connect to the roots of our land, of who we truly are.

So when we place our palms firmly to the ground in our asanas, we are connecting to the core, to the original, to the self. 

Bawa Yoga is a blossoming yoga community in Barbados, teaching the art of moving meditation through the incredible yogic practices of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin and Meditation.

Bawa is here to guide your bodies, minds and souls through the practice of yoga both on and off the mat, giving you a platform to truly understand all the different facets of yoga. We focus on building strength within the body, serenity in the mind and acceptance with yourself.

Yoga is a journey of truth, in all shapes and forms and we are here to flow through it all with you.

BRIT GOLDING

Yoga teacher, surfer girl, born and raised on the beautiful island of Barbados. Brit takes her island vibe ways, passion for yoga and connection to the natural world around her and infuses it all in her practices.

She is here to help guide you, using the movement of your body, the breath in your lungs, and the thoughts in your mind, to connect to your true self. 

She's a Yoga Alliance Certified, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga Teacher. Her style of teaching is fun, strong, and filled with grace and honour for those she's teaching and the surroundings she's teaching in.

NATHALIE GOLDING

Meet Nathalie a peaceful warrioress on the path of liberation. Her passion is to heal, enlighten and empower people to joyfully experience the journey of life.  

She is a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) master practitioner, a Voice Dialogue facilitator and a certified Advanced Amrit Yoga Teacher trained by the renowned Yogi Amrit Desai. Her one on one mindfulness therapy sessions will bring awareness and healing to your life.

Nathalie teaches a slower flow, blending pranayama, meditation and asanas into a balance of deliberate action and deep surrender. Her meditation classes are suitable for all who want to cultivate peace within.

Her classes have developed over the past 12 years into her own expression of a dance with the divine.
